We are so proud of how incredibly well the children have settled into Early Years! It has been a joy to watch them grow in confidence over the first few weeks and to see them already developing such wonderful skills of independence. The children are enjoying exploring everything our setting has to offer, both indoors and outdoors, and are becoming increasingly confident in choosing where they would like to play and learn. It has been particularly lovely to see new friendships forming as the children play, chat and discover things together. Each day brings lots of exciting learning opportunities across all seven areas of the EYFS curriculum, and the children are embracing these with such enthusiasm. We are practising writing our names every day and building our confidence with mark-making, as well as recapping Phase 1 Phonics through the Twinkl scheme, developing our listening and attention skills, exploring rhythm, rhyme and sounds around us. It really has been a wonderful start, and we cannot wait to see all the learning, friendships and achievements that the coming weeks will bring! We will begin our Phase 2 learning in Phonics w/b 21.9.26.
