What a fantastic start back to school Year 2 have made!

We have returned with big smiles and a positive attitude, ready to do our very best – brilliant work everyone! We hope you all had a lovely Easter break.

This half term, our exciting puppet adventure continues. We are loving watching our puppets come to life and can’t wait to see the finished creations! Our focus is on painting and sewing before carefully putting all the pieces together.

In Maths, we are learning all about fractions. We are finding out that parts must be equal and that a whole can be divided into smaller pieces. Perhaps your child can tell you at home what the numerator and denominator are!

In English, we are setting sail on an exciting journey aboard a pirate ship… Arrrgh! Our writing will be inspired by high seas adventures and daring pirates!

Our technology skills continue to grow as we explore music and composition using Chrome Music Lab, where we are creating our own electronic music pieces.

Once our puppets are complete, we will return to Geography, travelling to a different continent to learn about life in a small village in Africa.

It’s going to be another exciting half term full of creativity and learning!
