Last week in Early Years our book of the week was ‘What the Ladybird Heard’ the children enjoyed playing with the small world Farm and made Ladybirds from playdough using black pebbles to add spots. They practiced their handwriting by writing what they could see in the story pictures. 

In maths we were learning about odd and even numbers, subitising and introduced zero as a number.

In our skills afternoon we looked at maps discussing why and how we might use them (Geography), we enjoyed a music Lesson, the children discussed and compared old and new Teddy Bears (History) and we also learned all about the importance of brushing our teeth and practiced how we clean our teeth on some cuddly toys (PSED).
