What a busy start we have already had to Year One. The children have settled in beautifully and are already making great progress with their learning and independence. At the moment we are focusing on numbers to 10 – what they look like, how to count that many objects and how to make 10 by using other numbers such as 4 + 6 = 10.

In English we are busy learning our phonics sounds, practising our handwriting and writing sentences with finger spaces, full stops and capital letters. Not a lot to remember in our English lessons this year!

We have also already started learning about the seasons and weather in Science and Geography, Christianity in RE and what technology is in Computing.
