Welcome Back to Autumn Term B!

Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn Term.

So far, the children have created beautiful poppy work for Remembrance using a combination of oil pastels and paint, blending colours to create striking hills and skies. We also took part in a two-minute silence to reflect and remember.

In English, we have been working on our newspaper reports based on ‘The King Who Banned the Dark’. The children have been focusing on adding direct speech to their writing using accurate punctuation to make their reports engaging and informative.

In History, we have begun our exciting Ancient Egypt topic. The children have started exploring what life was like in one of the world’s earliest civilisations. They have learned about a range of Egyptian Gods and begun to understand their roles and importance in daily life. Over the coming weeks, we will also be discovering how the River Nile helped Egyptian society thrive and learning about famous pharaohs such as Tutankhamun. The children are already showing great curiosity and enthusiasm for this fascinating period.

We’re looking forward to another exciting half term of learning!
