Welcome back to a damp January! Well… it’s damp outside but inside we are already buzzing with new learning energy!
This half term brings many new challenges, as we begin to look at money and how to calculate with money in Maths, before we further investigate our multiplication and division facts.
In English, we look at two wonderful books: Grandad’s Island and the Squirrels who Squabbled .
It is Geography to start off our new term, looking at where the hot and cold places are located around the world. We are going to investigate which animals live in which place and how they have adapted to live there.
In Computing we are programming and exploring algorithms with our friends the Beebots.
These are just a few things we will begin to look at this term!
Just a quick reminder: All children in Year 2 can now enter school in their PE kits on Thursdays and stay in them for the entire day. As a reminder this PE kit consists of a red t-shirt, black shorts or joggers and either their school jumper / cardigan or an appropriate jumper. They are not to wear football kits.
