During this term Jays Class have enjoyed exploring in the school environment and developing our independence.  We have explored with nature at Forest School, and we have really enjoyed taking part in sports activities with the Sport’s Coaches during our PE lessons.  We used the parachute and developed our football skills. During these sessions we develop our ability to work as a team, increase our listening skills and consider the importance of sharing.

We also developed our reading and writing skills when we wrote instructions for making a cheese sandwich.  We then made our own sandwiches by spreading on the butter and filling them with the ingredients that we had chosen.  We also made some yummy brownies which were delicious!

To develop our use of vocabulary we went on an imaginary journey in search of an Arctic Jellyfish.  We developed our knowledge about some of the hot and cold countries around the world.  We located different countries on maps, atlases and globes.

We have also been counting in 2s, 5s, and 10s using different objects that we found in the classroom and we have been developing our knowledge about times tables.
