Year 3 Diwali Day 16.10.25
Year 3 have had a fantastic day learning all about Diwali.
We started the day with a Bangrah dance workshop with a special visitor. We learnt a traditional indian dance with 4 different dance steps. The children did an amazing job and performed the routine excellently.
We then learnt all about Diya Lamps and why they are put out on Diwali (to welcome in Lakshmi the Goddess of Wealth). Year 3 then made their very own Diya lamp out of clay and decorated it with lots of gems, sequins and glitter!
Finally, we learnt about Rangoli art and Henna tattoos and how it links to the traditions of Diwali. The children made their own Rangoli patterns with different colourful textures.
