Spring B – Shakespeare’s Macbeth

At the end of Spring term, Y4 explored the story of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The children were really engaged with the story and wrote some wonderful descriptions of how brave Macbeth transformed from a once noble man to a tyrant king. At the end of the term, we acted out a synopsis of the story where each child took on the role of a different character using a technique called a Whoosh! This is something that actors do when they are exploring plays at the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), and the children were fantastic and threw themselves into the roles.
