As we reach the end of the Autumn term, we are reflecting on all the exciting learning and experiences we’ve shared. One of the highlights was our science trip to We The Curious, where we explored fascinating exhibits and enjoyed an incredible planetarium show. This linked perfectly to our science topic on space, helping us deepen our understanding of planets, stars, and the universe.
In maths, we’ve been working hard on fractions—converting between improper fractions and mixed numbers and finding equivalent fractions using our times tables knowledge. It’s been great to see everyone growing in confidence with these skills.
In computing, we’ve been creative with technology by using Google Drawings to design a range of vector drawings. These are images created on a computer using lines and shapes, and the children have produced some fantastic work.
In geography, we have been using our fieldwork skills to recap learning about the rainforest. This hands-on approach helped us think like geographers and apply what we know about this amazing biome.
Finally, this last week has been full of festive fun! We’ve enjoyed rehearsals for our Christmas concert and cannot wait to perform it to you. We have also taken part in a variety of craft and writing activities to celebrate the season such as cards, snowflake suncatchers and acrostic poems.
Thank you for your continued support this term. We wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year!
