This term in DT, we looked into the various packaging options for chocolate and biscuits and spoke about the features we liked and didn’t like about them. We were required to design our own packaging in order to deliver a delectable Christmas biscuit from school to our homes. After creating a prototype, we spoke about how to strengthen it to better protect our biscuit. We also included the ingredients, a best before date, and a Christmas design.
Once our packaging was ready, we started the production line of baking the Christmas biscuits and then individually decorated them with icing, sprinkles and chocolate stars. They were delicious! We got to take them home in our packaging and even got to try some at school. We will report back to our teachers if the packaging protected them on Monday!
