The Gingerbread Man

Office UserEarly Years, Giraffes & Crocodiles, Penguins & Zebras

Last week in Early Years we were learning all about the Gingerbread Man. We shared a variety of different examples of the story and discussed similarities and differences. The children enjoyed making playdough shaped Gingerbread people.

In our knowledge and skills lessons the children designed their own Gingerbread person on paper which they will use to design their own Gingerbread Man this week which they will then bring home to eat!  We also experimented what would happen to Gingerbread Man biscuits when placed in different liquids and we linked that back to why the Gingerbread Man couldn’t cross the river in the story. The children had music with Mrs Redman using instruments to play alongside Christmas song and we have been busy learning our songs for the Christmas Performance.  In maths we were learning about greater than, less than and equal to.
