This week in Early Years our communication and language focus has been around the story ‘Have you filled a bucket today’ ( Have You Filled A Bucket Today? – YouTube) we discussed how we can fill people’s ‘buckets’ by being kind and caring. 

In maths we have been learning about matching and comparing and the children have enjoyed the activities in their exploring time to build on what they have learned in their maths lesson. We have also been practicing our writing skills, playing in our new water tray and have enjoyed painting autumn trees using our fingers. 

In our skills lessons the children enjoyed exploring the junk modelling and have made some amazing shakers and rockets. We have been practicing our name writing, talking about the special people in our lives and pattern making with lolly sticks. 

We ended the week with some whole class drawing lessons, and enjoying some sun in our free flow outdoor area with our bubble machine, how exciting!
