This term in Y4, Orcas and Dolphins have been looking at Macbeth in English. We have been trying some rehearsal room techniques (used by the RSC) to explore different parts of the play and to help us understand the relationships between the characters.

We wrote letters as Macbeth informing Lady Macbeth of the witches’ prophecy and we also wrote a diary entry as Macduff on the eve of the final battle.

The children really enjoyed exploring the language and putting it in words and scenarios that they could relate to.

Next term, we will be looking at information texts and narratives.
