What a fantastic week Y6 have had; from non-chronological reports to glockenspiels – Year 6 have done it all!

It was a slow and steady ascent to success in English, as we worked towards writing a non chronological report about a favourite animal. At the start, the introductions were a bit clumsy, but by the time they had researched their animal’s behaviour, diet and appearance they were writing with impressive form and several have seen Mr. Walton for recognition – well done Y6!
It has been a very practical week too, with Real PE outside and learning to play AGB rhythms on the glockenspiel to accompany “Happy” -which they loved and it even sounded great! Furthermore, we played a range of vocabulary matching games like “Shopping List”, “Snap” and “Lotto” in French and in science, we have tested circuits and corrected faulty circuits and are building up to designing an investigation to test a prediction with bulbs and batteries in circuits next week.
Last but not least, we have been learning how to input and use formula in spreadsheets for event planning – Children had to work out how much of several party items they would need, to cater for a class birthday party and then they worked out the cost using formula on Google Sheets!

What a busy week – enjoy the pictures!
