An Author Visit: Lucy Strange
Written by Jack, Poppy, Oscar, Ethan, Phoebe and Nyah
This morning, on 20th October, Lucy Strange (a fabulous author) spoke about her four books. Her books are called The Secret of Nightingale Wood, Our Castle by the Sea, The Ghost of Gosswater and The Sisters of the Lost Marsh. She explained how she got her ideas and the influences that create her wonderful books. She said that she got her ideas from when she goes on trains and the main part of one of her books came from the setting of the Lake District. The gothic style of her books works perfectly with the rustic timing of the events. One of the quotes from The Ghost of Gosswater is, ‘We know what we are, but know not what we may be.’
We recommend reading her books greatly.
