Summer Term 2016

Week one

This week has been Water Play Week! We have had water fights, exploration in sensory water trays and water guns. The children have had lots of fun splashing around!!

Scroll down to see the different activities happening each week...

Week Two

This week has been den building! The children have split into teams, competing against one another to create the best den. Children made flags and used as many natural resources as they could find. Luckily the weather was on our side and they spent nearly all day in the outdoor area making the best den!

Week Three

This week has been Ready Steady Cook week. The children were split into two groups; the red tomatoes and green peppers. Each day the adults would 'taste test' the end product, choosing the winning group. Overall the green peppers won!

Week Four

This week the Olympics came to Brookside. The children had fun taking part in running races, skipping races, obstacle courses, football and basketball games. Everything was Olympic themed to the arts and crafts to the cooking. The children made Olympic gold medals for the winners and children that took part!
