Week beginning 10th October

Week Beginning 26th September

This week we have been looking at if you see a kitten story, repeating the sounds when looking at each animal and painting the animals on a tuff tray. We got very messy!!

We have also been painting leaves for our autumn display board using coffee and tea bags to make marks. Make sure to look out for them in the baby room!

Next week is science week so we will be exploring with water, magnets and reading the story of "Whatever next"

Welcome back!

Welcome back! We hope you have had a lovely summer! Here are some photos of what we have been doing!

Reminder: Parents evening for the babies will take place at Crispin Nursery on Tuesday 11th October. if you haven't booked your appointment yet then please speak to Pam.

The babies have enjoyed playing in our Bakers role play! They have been exploring flour and water doing lots of mixing with bowls and spoons. Getting their hands messy with the shaving foam and using play dough to make cupcakes! We created a display board by our role play area called “Babies Bake Off” have a look and see who you think is the best baker!

We went for a walk to meet up with our friends from Brookside nursery to visit the bakers. We bought sausage rolls to eat for café. They were yummy!!

Exploring the paints, we used our feet by making footprints which we have put up on another display board. We do enjoy getting very messy!

The babies enjoyed a bit of chill out time lying down on blankets and cushions using feathers and calming music, they found this very relaxing.

 Happy 2016!

Here are some photos of what the babies have been up to this term.

Autumn Term Week 6 & 7

We have been enjoying playing in our kitchen role play making cups of tea and dinner for our friends and the grownups at nursery! There has been lots of beeping noises made for the microwave and food being put into the oven.

After enjoying playing with the water last week, we filled three lots of tuff trays with mud, glitter water and bubbles.  We put our wellies and overalls on and went SPLASH!!! We had so much fun however we weren’t too sure of the muddy tray! The bubbles tray was our favourite and we got very wet when we finished!

This week we listened to the ‘Owl Babies’ Story and saw our owl puppet fly over us when listening to the story. We also made pictures of owls using leaves to stick.

Autumn Term Week 4 & 5

This week we have been exploring the mud and water. We used our hands and spades to mix. We have also been to the library. We met with the babies from Brookside nursery looking at books together.

We have enjoyed looking after the dolls washing them in the bath, drying them and sitting them on the potty.

One of Pam’s friends was holding a coffee morning in aid of MacMillian cancer. So we all went up to support the event and they gave us stickers to bring home.

On our way to the park, we collected leaves and pine cones. When we got back to nursery, we used the pine cones to do some painting.

Our new role play area is a kitchen. Pop in and have a cup of tea!

Autumn Term Week 2 & 3

This week we have been listening to the story called "The Enormous Turnip". We have made an 'Enormous' Turnip using different vegetables to print. Outside we climbed through our obstacle course, pulling ourselves up onto different objects.

Exploring the blocks and cars, we have also been looking for big and small objects!

We made the most of the sunshine and went to the park. We did lots of climbing, we were big and strong to do it ourselves, only needing a little bit of support from a grown up! We also had fun playing on the swings and finished off our outing by having some cafe afterwards.
